VITILAN M5 Full Suspension All-Terrain Mountain E-bike

The VITILAN M5 is a full-suspension all-terrain electric mountain bike built around an aluminium-alloy frame, 27.5 × 2.8-inch CST tyres and a modern mountain-bike riding position. Its larger wheel format, wide tyres and full-suspension chassis are designed for riders who want a substantial electric bike for commuting, leisure riding, gravel routes, forest tracks and other suitable mixed surfaces.

Electric assistance is provided by a 500W rated brushless geared hub motor with a stated peak output of 960W and 60Nm of torque. The bike also uses a torque sensor, allowing motor assistance to respond to the rider’s pedalling input rather than relying only on cadence. A Shimano 9-speed drivetrain provides additional mechanical gearing for flats, gradients and changing terrain, while the maximum published speed is approximately 40 km/h, equivalent to around 25 mph.

The removable 48V 15Ah LG lithium-ion battery provides a published riding range of approximately 60–90 km, equivalent to around 37–56 miles depending on riding conditions and assistance use. The removable design allows the battery to be charged either on or away from the bike, while the electrical system uses a 48V controller and compatible charger.

Actual riding range varies according to rider weight, assistance level, terrain, gradients, tyre pressure, weather, temperature, stopping frequency and riding style. Frequent acceleration, higher speeds, steep climbs and softer surfaces increase energy consumption, while steady riding, regular pedalling and efficient assistance use can increase the distance achieved from a charge.

The M5 combines 27.5 × 2.8-inch CST tyres with an air-suspension fork at the front and a DNM AO-9CR air shock at the rear. The rear suspension offers adjustable air pressure and a three-step lockout system, while the front suspension provides approximately 60 mm of travel. Together, these components create a full-suspension setup designed to manage impacts and vibration across uneven roads, gravel, forest routes and suitable trail surfaces.

TEKTRO 180 mm hydraulic disc brakes are fitted at both the front and rear, providing hydraulic braking control alongside the larger wheel format. Additional equipment includes a Shimano 9-speed shifting system, torque sensor, aluminium components and full aluminium mountain-bike pedals. The bike weighs approximately 29 kg and has a stated maximum load capacity of 330 lb, approximately 150 kg.

With its 500W rated motor, 960W peak output, 48V 15Ah removable battery, 25 mph maximum speed and approximately 56-mile maximum published range, the VITILAN M5 combines torque-sensing assistance with full air suspension, hydraulic braking and a 9-speed drivetrain. Its 27.5-inch all-terrain format provides a versatile alternative for riders looking for a lighter full-suspension platform than larger fat-tyre electric mountain bikes.
