These Terms and Conditions apply to consumer purchases made through megascootz.uk.
Please read them before placing an order. They explain how orders, payments, delivery, cancellations, returns, warranties and customer responsibilities are handled.
Nothing in these Terms restricts your statutory consumer rights.

2. Scope of These Terms
These Terms apply to consumer orders placed through our website for delivery within the United Kingdom.
They do not normally apply to purchases made primarily for:
- Resale
- Rental
- Commercial fleets
- Trade purposes
- Business use
Please contact us before placing a trade, rental, resale or commercial order. Separate written terms may apply.
3. Customer Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract to place an order.
You must provide complete and accurate information during checkout.
You may not place an order using another person’s identity or payment method without their permission.
4. Product Information
We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, prices, availability and images are accurate.
Product colours may appear slightly different because of photography, lighting and screen settings.
Measurements, weights, ranges, speeds and performance figures may be approximate or based on information provided by the manufacturer.
Actual range and performance may vary because of:
- Rider weight
- Terrain
- Weather and temperature
- Assistance level
- Tyre pressure
- Battery condition
- Maintenance
- Riding style
- Other operating conditions
If a material product specification changes before we accept your order, we will contact you. You may accept the change or cancel the affected order for a full refund.
5. Placing an Order
When you place an order, you are offering to purchase the selected product under these Terms.
Before submitting the order, you must check:
- The product and model
- Product specifications
- Quantity
- Delivery address
- Billing information
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Payment method
- Final order total
Contact us promptly if you discover an error after submitting the order. We cannot guarantee that information can be changed after dispatch.
6. Order Confirmation and Contract Formation
After you submit an order, you may receive an automated acknowledgement or payment receipt. This confirms that we received the order but does not necessarily mean that we have accepted it.
A contract is formed when we send an Order Confirmation expressly confirming that the order has been accepted.
We may complete payment, security, address and availability checks before accepting the order.
Payment authorisation or collection does not by itself mean that the order has been accepted.
If we cannot accept an order, we will notify you and release the payment authorisation or issue a full refund.
7. Product Availability
Products are offered subject to availability.
We work to keep website availability accurate. However, an unexpected stock discrepancy, damaged warehouse item or supplier error may occasionally occur.
If a product is unavailable, we will:
- Notify you as soon as reasonably possible;
- Cancel the affected order; and
- Issue a full refund to the original payment method.
We will not keep payment for a product that we cannot supply.
8. When We May Refuse or Cancel an Order
We may refuse or cancel an order for a reasonable and lawful reason, including where:
- The product is unavailable
- Payment is declined or cannot be verified
- The delivery address is invalid or outside our delivery area
- We reasonably suspect fraud or unauthorised payment
- A price or description contains an obvious and genuine error
- The order appears to be for unauthorised resale
- The order breaches a legal requirement
- We cannot safely or lawfully fulfil it
If we cancel after taking payment, we will issue a full refund to the original payment method.
We will not deduct merchant, processing or cancellation fees.
9. Prices
Prices are displayed in pounds sterling unless clearly stated otherwise.
The complete order total will be shown before you submit the order.
We may change prices at any time, but a price change will not affect an order that we have already accepted.
If we discover an obvious pricing error before accepting an order, we will contact you. You may place the order at the correct price or cancel it.
10. Payment Methods
The payment methods currently available will be displayed at checkout.
They may include:
- Eligible Visa or Mastercard payments processed through Stripe
- Stripe Link
- Klarna through Stripe, where displayed and approved
A payment method is available only when it appears at checkout.
Klarna eligibility and payment options are determined by Klarna and Stripe. The applicable payment terms will be displayed during checkout.
Payment may be authorised or collected when the order is submitted.
11. Payment Security
Payments are processed by the selected payment provider.
Megascootz does not normally receive or store complete card numbers or card security codes.
Payment providers may complete:
- Payment-authorisation checks
- Identity or eligibility checks
- Fraud-prevention checks
- Transaction-security checks
Payment providers process information according to their own terms and privacy notices.
12. United Kingdom Delivery Area
We deliver throughout the United Kingdom, including:
- England
- Scotland
- Wales
- Northern Ireland
We do not deliver outside the United Kingdom.
We provide free standard delivery for orders delivered within the United Kingdom.
Delivery must be made to a valid physical address that can accept a large courier delivery. We do not deliver electric bikes to P.O. boxes.
13. Processing and Delivery Times
Orders are normally processed within 1–2 business days, Monday to Friday.
After dispatch, the estimated courier transit time is 2–5 business days.
Processing and transit times are separate.
Orders are not normally processed or dispatched during weekends or UK public holidays.
Delivery dates are estimates unless we expressly agree to a guaranteed date.
If a significant delay occurs, we will contact you.
14. Delivery Tracking
Customers normally receive the following updates:
- Order Confirmation – Processing
- Arranged
- Tracking
The Arranged notification means that the order has been prepared for courier collection or collected by the courier.
Tracking information may take time to become active after the courier receives the order.
Depending on the product and delivery address, we may use BJS, DX, DHL, XDP, FedEx, UPS or another suitable delivery provider.
15. Delivery Responsibility and Ownership
We remain responsible for the product until it is delivered to:
- You;
- A person identified by you to receive it; or
- A safe place specifically selected or authorised by you.
Where you independently authorise a nominated person or safe place, responsibility may pass when delivery is completed according to those instructions.
Ownership of the product passes to you after we receive full payment.
16. Missed Deliveries
You must provide an accurate delivery address and make reasonable arrangements to receive the product.
If a confirmed delivery is missed because nobody is available or the courier cannot access the address, another delivery may need to be arranged.
Where the courier charges for a customer-caused missed delivery, you may be responsible for the courier’s actual documented redelivery charge.
We will explain the amount before arranging another delivery. Megascootz does not add a markup to the courier’s charge.
You will not be charged where the failed delivery was caused by Megascootz or the delivery company.
17. Delivery Damage
Please inspect the product and packaging when delivery takes place.
If the product is damaged, incomplete or incorrect, contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
For visible delivery damage, please contact us promptly, preferably within 48 hours, and provide photographs or videos.
Reporting damage after 48 hours does not automatically remove your statutory rights.
Keep the original box, protective packaging and accessories while we investigate.
Megascootz covers reasonable collection costs where a product arrives damaged, faulty, incomplete, incorrect or not as described.
18. Cancelling Before Dispatch
You may request cancellation before dispatch by emailing [email protected].
Include your name and order number.
If the order has not been dispatched, we will cancel it and issue a full refund to the original payment method.
We do not deduct merchant fees, card-processing charges or cancellation fees.
19. Statutory Cancellation After Delivery
For most goods purchased online, you may cancel without giving a reason by notifying us within 14 calendar days after the day of delivery.
After notifying us, the product must normally be returned within a further 14 calendar days.
You may inspect the product as you reasonably could in a physical shop.
If the product has been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and operation, we may make a lawful deduction reflecting the resulting reduction in value.
The customer is responsible for change-of-mind collection costs.
20. Additional 30-Day Return Offer
Megascootz extends the change-of-mind return period to 30 calendar days after delivery.
Return requests submitted during days 15–30 are covered by our additional return offer.
During this additional period, the product must be:
- Unused
- Not ridden outdoors
- Free from recorded mileage
- Unmodified
- Complete
- In its original packaging
- Accompanied by all supplied parts and accessories
- Suitable for resale as a new product
The complete conditions are provided in our Return Policy.
This additional offer does not restrict your statutory rights concerning faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed goods.
21. Return Collection Costs
Megascootz normally arranges approved return collections.
For a change-of-mind return, the standard collection charges are:
- Electric bike: £49
- Battery: £15
- Small accessory: £9
If a standard collection service is unavailable for your address or a courier location surcharge applies, we will provide the exact cost before arranging collection.
Megascootz covers reasonable collection costs where a product is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described.
We do not charge a restocking fee.
Do not send a product to our registered office, fulfilment location or return location without written return instructions.
Our authorised return location is:
Megascootz Returns
8 Walsingham Drive
Daventry
Northamptonshire
NN11 2LE
United Kingdom
22. Refunds
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method.
For a statutory cancellation, we will provide the refund without undue delay and no later than 14 calendar days after:
- We receive the returned product; or
- Where applicable, you provide acceptable evidence that it was returned.
We may withhold the refund until the product is returned or acceptable return evidence is provided.
Where standard delivery was free, there is no original standard delivery charge to refund.
Your bank or payment provider may require additional time to display the refund after we process it.
23. Faulty or Misdescribed Products
Products supplied by Megascootz must be:
- Of satisfactory quality
- Fit for their intended purpose
- As described
- Installed correctly where installation forms part of the contract
If a product does not meet these requirements, you may have statutory rights to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.
These rights are separate from our change-of-mind return offer and limited warranty.
Nothing in these Terms restricts those rights.
24. Megascootz Limited Warranty
New electric bikes include a 12-month limited warranty against qualifying manufacturing defects, starting on the delivery date.
The warranty is additional to your statutory consumer rights.
Normal wear, normal battery-capacity reduction, misuse, impact damage, improper storage, excessive water exposure, incompatible components, tampering, de-restriction and unauthorised repairs may be excluded where they caused or contributed to the fault.
The complete conditions are provided in our Warranty Policy.
25. Electric-Bike Assembly and Inspection
Some electric bikes may require final assembly or adjustment after delivery.
You must follow the supplied instructions and complete all required safety checks before riding.
Before first use, check:
- Handlebars and stem
- Wheels and axles
- Brakes
- Pedals
- Tyre pressure
- Saddle
- Battery attachment
- Electrical connections
- Lights and reflectors where fitted
If you are not confident completing the required assembly or checks, use a competent bicycle technician.
Incorrect assembly, adjustment or maintenance may affect a warranty claim only where it caused or contributed to the problem.
26. Electric-Bike Road Legality
Electric-bike classification depends on the specifications and configuration of the individual model.
In Great Britain, an electric bike normally qualifies as an electrically assisted pedal cycle when:
- It has usable pedals;
- Its continuous-rated motor output does not exceed 250 watts; and
- Electrical assistance stops at 15.5 mph.
Additional approval requirements may apply to certain throttle-operated models.
A product that does not meet the applicable requirements may be classified as a motorcycle or moped. Approval, registration, insurance, licensing, tax, helmet and road-use requirements may then apply.
Some products may only be suitable for use on private land unless they have the required approval, registration and insurance.
You must:
- Read the road-use information on the product page
- Check the law applicable where the product will be used
- Use the product only where it is lawful
- Obtain any required approval, registration, insurance or licence
- Avoid unlawfully modifying or de-restricting the product
Contact us before ordering if you are uncertain about a product’s intended use.
27. Safe and Lawful Use
You are responsible for using the product safely and lawfully after delivery.
You must:
- Read and follow the manufacturer’s instructions
- Observe applicable rider-age requirements
- Wear suitable safety equipment
- Maintain the product properly
- Stop using the product if it becomes unsafe
- Comply with applicable road, cycle-path and private-land rules
- Avoid overloading, misuse or unlawful modification
Nothing in this section removes Megascootz’s responsibility to provide a safe and conforming product.
28. Customer Accounts
If you create an account, you are responsible for:
- Providing accurate information
- Keeping your login details confidential
- Preventing unauthorised access
- Informing us if you suspect misuse
We may suspend an account where reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, protect security or investigate misuse.
Account suspension does not remove rights connected with an existing order.
29. Reviews and Customer Content
If you submit a product review, photograph or other content for publication, you confirm that:
- It is accurate and based on genuine experience
- You have the right to submit it
- It does not infringe another person’s rights
- It is not unlawful, abusive, defamatory or misleading
- It does not contain malicious software or confidential information
You grant Megascootz a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and reproduce the submitted content for operating and promoting our business.
We may remove content that breaches these Terms or applicable law. We will not suppress a genuine review solely because it is negative.
30. Intellectual Property
The website’s design, text, graphics, logos, photographs and other content may be protected by intellectual-property rights.
You may use the website for personal and lawful shopping or information purposes.
You may not reproduce, scrape, republish, sell or commercially distribute protected website content without permission or another lawful basis.
31. Prohibited Website Use
You must not:
- Use the website unlawfully
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access
- Introduce viruses or harmful code
- Interfere with website security
- Place fraudulent orders
- Submit false or misleading information
- Infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights
- Scrape the website for unauthorised commercial purposes
- Attempt to disrupt website operation
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect customers, the website, our business or third parties.
32. Third-Party Websites and Services
Our website may contain links to manufacturers, payment providers, couriers, social networks or other independent websites.
Third parties operate under their own terms and privacy notices.
We are not responsible for the content or practices of independent websites. This does not exclude our responsibility for a third party acting on our behalf to fulfil your order.
33. Website Availability
We take reasonable steps to keep the website available and secure.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, security incidents, technical problems or events outside our reasonable control may temporarily affect availability.
Website interruption does not remove rights connected with an accepted order.
34. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control
We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control where we have taken reasonable steps to reduce their effect.
If a significant delay occurs, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.
Where the delay creates a legal right to cancel, or we cannot fulfil the order within the agreed period, you may cancel the affected order and receive an appropriate refund.
35. Our Responsibility to Consumers
We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these Terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made.
Because these Terms cover consumer purchases, we are not responsible for business losses such as lost profit, lost revenue or business interruption arising from personal consumer use.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits responsibility for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Defective products where liability cannot legally be excluded
- Breach of statutory consumer rights
- Any other matter that cannot legally be excluded or limited
36. Personal Information and Cookies
Personal information is processed according to our Privacy Policy.
Our use of cookies and similar technologies is explained in our Cookie Policy.
You can manage optional cookies through the Cookie Settings control available on the website.
37. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to our business, website, policies or legal obligations.
Updated Terms will be published with a revised date.
Changes will not normally apply retrospectively to an order already accepted unless required by law or expressly agreed with you.
38. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
39. No Waiver
If we delay or fail to enforce a right, this does not mean that we have permanently waived that right.
40. Governing Law and Courts
These Terms and consumer contracts made through our website are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protection that applies where you live.
If you live in England or Wales, proceedings may be brought in the courts of England and Wales.
If you live in Scotland, proceedings may also be brought in the Scottish courts.
If you live in Northern Ireland, proceedings may also be brought in the courts of Northern Ireland.
Nothing in this section removes a consumer’s right to use a court or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
41. Complaints
If you have a complaint, contact us and provide:
- Your name
- Your order number
- A clear description of the problem
- The outcome you are requesting
- Relevant supporting evidence
Send complaints to [email protected].
We will acknowledge and investigate complaints according to our Complaints Policy.
