DYU T1 20-Inch Folding Torque Sensor Electric Bike

The DYU T1 is a 20-inch folding electric bike built around an integrated die-cast magnesium-alloy frame. Its compact folding construction makes it easier to store at home, transport in a vehicle or manage where space is limited, while the full-size riding position and 20-inch wheel format are designed around commuting, leisure riding and everyday urban journeys.

Electric assistance is provided by a 250W motor working with a torque sensor rated at a maximum of 35Nm. The torque sensor responds to rider pedalling input to provide assistance in proportion to the effort applied, while a Shimano 7-speed transmission allows mechanical gear selection for different gradients and riding conditions. Maximum assisted speed is 15.5 mph.

The T1 uses a 36V 10Ah battery and has a published maximum assisted range of approximately 37 miles. The battery is integrated into the bike’s compact frame design, while the supplied charging system has a stated charging time of approximately five to six hours. The battery can also be removed from the bike when required.

Actual riding range varies according to rider weight, total load, assistance demand, gradients, average speed, road surface, tyre pressure, temperature, wind and stopping frequency. Steeper climbs, frequent acceleration and heavier loads increase energy consumption, while steady pedalling and moderate assistance demand can reduce battery usage. The published 37-mile figure therefore represents the maximum stated assisted range under suitable riding conditions rather than a fixed distance for every journey.

The magnesium-alloy frame combines the main structure and folding mechanism into a compact design that can be folded in three steps. The T1 does not use a dedicated suspension system, so its ride characteristics come primarily from the frame, wheels, tyres and saddle rather than front or rear suspension. Its 20-inch format keeps the overall footprint smaller than that of a conventional full-size commuter bike.

Front and rear disc brakes provide braking control, while the Shimano 7-speed drivetrain gives the rider a broader choice of mechanical gearing for different road conditions. A front light is fitted for visibility, and the published net weight is approximately 50 lb with a maximum load of approximately 265 lb. The torque sensor, folding mechanism and compact magnesium frame are key practical features of the T1’s commuter-focused design.

With its 250W motor, 36V 10Ah battery, 15.5 mph assisted speed and approximately 37-mile maximum assisted range, the DYU T1 combines compact folding dimensions with torque-sensing pedal assistance.
