PVY Z20 PLUS Folding Fat Tyre Electric Bike

The PVY Z20 PLUS is a folding all-terrain electric bike built around an upgraded 6061 aluminium frame and wide 20 × 4.0-inch fat tyres. This product is the XL version, recommended for riders approximately 170–200 cm tall. Its folding construction provides greater flexibility for storage and transport, while the substantial tyre profile, rear rack and mudguards add practicality for commuting, leisure riding and suitable mixed-surface journeys.

Electric assistance is provided by a 250W brushless geared hub motor producing a published 100Nm of torque. Five pedal-assist levels allow motor support to be adjusted according to riding conditions, while a cadence sensor detects pedal movement and the Shimano 7-speed drivetrain provides mechanical gear selection. The standard motor-assisted speed is limited to 15.5 mph.

The Z20 PLUS uses a removable 48V 16.5Ah battery with dual-protection architecture incorporating a battery-management system and fuse. The manufacturer publishes a maximum riding range of approximately 75 miles under suitable conditions. The removable battery can be charged separately from the bicycle and is also specified to support higher-current fast charging with compatible equipment.

Actual riding range varies according to rider weight, total payload, assistance level, throttle use, gradients, surface conditions, tyre pressure, temperature, wind and stopping frequency. Wide fat tyres and higher assistance demand can increase electrical consumption, while steady pedalling and moderate support can reduce battery demand. The 75-mile figure therefore represents the maximum published range under suitable test conditions rather than a fixed distance for every journey.

The Z20 PLUS uses 20 × 4.0-inch fat tyres together with a lockable shock-absorbing front fork. The wide tyres provide additional surface contact across suitable roads, gravel and softer terrain, while the suspension fork can absorb impacts and vibration over uneven surfaces. The rear of the bicycle does not use a dedicated suspension shock, so the Z20 PLUS should be described as a front-suspension model rather than a full-suspension electric bike.

Hydraulic brakes provide braking control, while the Shimano 7-speed drivetrain uses a conventional 52T crankset. Equipment includes a colour LCD display, 1200-lumen front light, integrated rear light with brake-light functionality, rear rack, mudguards and throttle mode. Published bike weight is approximately 64 lb including the battery, while maximum load capacity is approximately 330 lb.

With its 250W motor, 48V 16.5Ah battery, 100Nm torque and approximately 75-mile maximum published range, the PVY Z20 PLUS combines fat-tyre capability with folding practicality. Shimano 7-speed gearing, hydraulic brakes, front suspension and five levels of pedal assistance provide a versatile specification for commuting, leisure and suitable mixed-terrain use.
